![]() ![]() The three myths’ I learned about rape in my Women’s Studies course were: There are really less rapes than many think, women are responsible for being raped, and men cannot stop themselves.Īll of these myths are absolute ludicrous to me. These are only my opinion, please feel free to disagree. Whether it is rape, early age, or poor circumstance, a life is still a life and abortion is still murder. Yes, it grows in her stomach, but it is not up to her to terminate it. It takes two to make a child and it just so happens that a woman has to carry the child. It is not okay to kill something just because it doesn’t benefit you at the time or because it is unwanted. Well this is what I believe I believe that from conception until death the fetus is alive and should have the right to life. Wade established that women’s reproductive matters were private and therefore didn’t need interference from the state to happen. These are all other questions that come up when it comes to the topic of abortion. Since it is a woman who is carrying the baby, shouldn’t it be her choice of whether or not she wants to have it or not? Isn’t it murder to kill a living human? What is considered a life? At what point is it not okay to abort a fetus? In asking myself this question, I am trying to also answer another question of whether or not I consider myself pro-choice or pro-life. But who should be able to decide who’s right it is for abortion? Reproductive rights are a major thing in feminist and women’s rights subjects. ![]() Abortion is and will always be a controversy in our society. ![]()
